No news is good news?

We had been following this “No news is good news” rule for the past couple of months as Charlie moved along in a semi-contained fashion. His glioblastoma health concerns remaining constant but he has been pain free since coming home in the middle of April.

Each day since then was generally the same – chocolate and coffee for breakfast, a light lunch, more chocolate in the afternoon, dinner with the family each night, and ice cream (again, chocolate).

Week over week his life has been bookended with “Half sandwich Tuesdays” at Lolliegaggers with close friends, take-out dinner each Friday night and a whole bunch of TV watching. With this schedule he recently surpassed his original projected timeline reaching 4 months this week.

Unfortunately, brain tumors are a bitch and things change in a moment’s notice and today is that moment – Charlie is now confined to his bed, he is sleeping 99% of the time, and he has stopped eating. And sadly, we do not expect him to last too much longer.

I’ll post more once things change again but for now this is where we are at.

  1. So sorry things have turned for the worse. I wish there was something I could do to ease the situation.

  2. He will be missed by so many. Charlie was always a joy when he joined our group. What a beautiful job that you, Suzette and Christine are doing to provide peace and comfort during his transition. Love to you all 💕🌺
