Life Care

Charlie was released from Ocala Regional today into a skilled nursing facility closer to home where he will continue recovering from the massive injuries he received in last week’s fall.

For those of you who missed the earlier post, Charlie was out walking and took a rough fall which has resulted in multiple fractures in his face, neck and ribs.

He is still on soft foods so only the daily 2pm daily ice cream socials at Life Care Center of Citrus County should make him happy but he’ll have to do all his daily PT to work off the calories! We expect he’ll be running the place inside of the week once he gets his bearings.

Please allow Charlie a few days to acclimate to his new settings but after that I’m sure he’ll welcome any visitors with a smile if you want to drop by. Suzette and Christine will be checking in regularly too to help keep Chuck on his toes.

If you’ve got questions that aren’t answered here please send them to Christine via a txt message. She’s pretty good at following up and answering most questions which gives Suzette a much needed break.

  1. I am very happy to read that Charlie is out of the hospital and that he is mobile. My hope is that Life Care has lots of good ice cream flavors from which to choose.
