The good news today is that Charlie has been moved out of ICU and back up to the neurology ward.

They’ve removed the oxygen and feeding tubes and have started him on soft foods. Today’s lunch included Southern-style chicken, Country-style green beans, and Macaroni & Cheese.

We also saw them help him from a chair back to bed which he largely was able to do on his own (with stabilization guidance). This is HUGE given the C5 fracture.

He is still very banged up so no photos yet but he seems on the mend.
